At two miles (3.4 kilometres), they are also the longest town walls in the country. We often enjoy going around the walls and it is a fantastic experience on a glorious summer day.

The York Barbican centre offers a wide range of events including comedy, a variety of live bands, snooker, family shows and community events. The annual Festival of Remembrance and the Lord Mayor's Carol Concert have returned to the Barbican as a regular part of the programme, as has the Guildhall Orchestra. We are always keen to see the latest events there and many of our customers like to enjoy a meal with us before heading to the York Barbican Centre.
